If you miss the punk rock allure of “Old” Capitol Hill, just scoot yourself down Denny and take advantage of Lower Eastlake. This burgeoning ‘hood has all the makings to be one of the city’s best entertainment districts. Centrally located with available parking, (or an approximate $10 -$15 LYFT from most points in the city) it’s easy to take advantage of this area – also the soon-to-be home of the new Funhouse – which still offers up the “no frills” beers, bands and bedlam of yore.
The above pictorial, shot by Niffer Calderwood, showcases a typical Saturday – day to night – in this rapidly changing neighborhood. We included the pocket of the Denny Triangle which houses KremWork and Re-Bar to highlight the variety of entertainment you can take in within just a few short blocks. Enjoy! MDL
