    Friday, August 28th

Have an amazing evening taking in some cool music of assorted genres for a grand total of $5.

If you’re a Honky Tonk Honey consider yourself in luck. KEXP’s free, long-running Concerts at the Mural  series features Ha Ha Tonka (7:30 PM) Country Lips (6:30 PM) Evening Bell (5:30 PM). There is booze available for those 21 and over.

This month’s installment of the Too Many Creeps Dance Party at Chop Suey features guest DJs JERMAINE and DJ GOO GOO. This night of music “inspired by being in love with your cooler older sister’s record collection” is only $3 for early entry (until 10:30) and $5 after.

For an extra good time, you can run across the street to Pony for Suburban Relapse where you are invited to “dance yourself dirty” to the likes of Iggy Pop, Darby Crash, and Kathleen Hanna. This “WOO” free event is FREE and starts at 10 PM.

    Saturday, August 29th

The VERA project is host(ess)ing the Women’s Creative Industries Forum meant to let female identifying people” experience presentations and live performances by women who design sound, produce radio shows, make films, and beyond. Running from 10 am-3pm will feature speakers, music, and a resource fair. The event is free and all ages.  RSVP to attend.

The Waterwheel Lounge, Ballard’s worst keep secret for ruining your liver, is having its 40th Birthday celebration today with live music by the Swearengens and Country Dave and the Pickin’ Crew.  Known for its (near-lethal) super cheap drinks, surprisingly good kitchen, large astroturfed patio and ahem… “colorful” regulars, you can also watch crawfish race for their lives only to be deliciously  boiled as their reward, at this sure-to-be boozed-soaked event.

It’s time once again for Black Weirdo Party: SEATTLE, a celebration for everyone put on by artists of color in the Seattle community.  Tickets for this well-received event at the NW African American Museum are $20 and features DJ sets by DJ TOPSPIN aka BLENDIANA JONES, Chocolate Chuck, Sassyblack, Stas THEE Boss . 8 pm- 12 am

    Sunday, August 30th

If you attended any of last night’s events you’re probably not up for going out- or in case of the Waterwheel Party, probably just shy of comatose- so here are a couple of things to enjoy from the safety of your comfy couch.

FREE BREAKFAST BURRITOS. Nothing helps beat a hangover like a good old Mexi-Breakfast.Those in West Seattle know Beloved Mexico is our premier Taco Truck. Located in the parking lot of a gas station across from Lincoln Park (4721 Fauntleroy Way SW),  this family operated truck boasts a giant burrito eating challenge, a nicely covered dine-in area,  and some of the best breakfast fare in town. They will be treating the neighborhood to free breakfast burritos from 10 am -noon.

If you’re staying in why not support Seattle actress Aneesh Sheth’s project Crave. The web series aims to enlighten folx on the tribulations of transgendered actors/actress and follows the story of Maggie an actress “with a secret”.  If you like what you see, please rate the series and support and amazing local artist.
