Ashley Armitage is a 21-year-old photographer based in Seattle. She focuses on highlighting the private lives and routines of The Teenage Girl. Activities that constitute girlhood like applying makeup, gossiping, hanging out, and painting nails are often ridiculed as superficial, vain, petty, and catty. Her work is an attempt to reclaim these activities in a positive light. Ashley will forever be a teenage girl. She likes sleeping 13 hours a day, eating until she’s too full to move, and beating boys in video games.
